《贫女》（The Story of Poor Family's Daughter）作者：秦韬玉（Created by Qin Tao Yu of The Tang Dynasty）
蓬门未识绮罗香，拟托良媒益自伤。
The daughter of a poor family, she does not know the look of fine clothes.
At that time, I was going to ask a good matchmaker, but I was even more sad.
谁爱风流高格调，共怜时世俭梳妆。
If noble character and mood, can be loved.
It must be. We all like the thrifty makeup that's in fashion.
敢将十指夸针巧，不把双眉斗画长。
Dare to praise the dexterity of ten fingers, a stitch of fine.
Resolutely can not draw eyebrows every day, with people shorter than long.
苦恨年年压金线，为他人作嫁衣裳。
Deep hate every 365 days of the year, with needle and thread and embroidery in hand.
They were all made for rich people to wear when they got married.
本人之前讲过，原诗首句后面三个字，被用作词牌名的问题，也许是名称所本。但实质上，以南宋时期词人史达祖的《梅溪词》连同其压卷为名篇，这才是《绮罗香》原词的开始。另外对于以上唐诗，讲的是贫穷人家的女儿处境悲惨，以及其难言的苦衷。诗人秦韬玉将其放在社会环境的矛盾冲突之中，通过独白揭示其内心深处的苦痛折磨，着意刻画她高风亮节的品行，并给予深切同情寄托诗人的不平感慨。全诗无任何典故，具有广泛深刻的内涵，以及浓厚的生活哲理，蕴含重大的社会意义。
